Permanent Housing Advanced Clinical Services (PHACS) Care and Capacity Coordinator

Where are you from?

I’m from Dublin, CA but have spent the last few years studying in Los Angeles!

Why did you decide to join NHC?

I joined the National Health Corps because of my involvement in a global health-focused organization during college, which sparked my desire to learn more about public health in a local context. Additionally, the NHC mission of fostering healthy communities and preparing health leaders of the future was one that I strongly aligned with.

What are you hoping to gain or learn during your service term?

I hope to gain a deeper understanding of how nonprofit and government organizations work together to address health disparities and enhance access to care by actively engaging with the community and working with the interdisciplinary PHACS team. By immersing myself in this environment, I aim to learn firsthand about the challenges and current initiatives in place to serve the community and how I can play a meaningful role. Additionally, I am excited about the opportunity for personal growth throughout this service term, as I learn from the diverse experiences and perspectives of those around me.

What are you most looking forward to during your service term?

I am looking forward to exploring San Francisco throughout this service term and getting to know everyone in my cohort!
