Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) is a community-based nonprofit organization established to provide primary & preventative medical, dental and behavioral health services to the working uninsured and underinsured populations in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Individuals eligible for services, work with an income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines and have no access to affordable health insurance or medical care. The Clinic understands the needs of the clients and quickly expanded services to become a “medical home” offering chiropractic services, physical therapy, counseling, dental care, case management, women’s health, chronic disease management, pharmacology program, nutritional education, free medications and free testing. Direct medical and dental care services are provided by an inter-professional team of volunteers that deliver healthcare services to working individuals. The ultimate goal of VIM is to keep our community healthy, well and working.
