Center for Adolescent and Young Adult Health & Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC

The mission of the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine and the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (CHP) of UPMC is to improve the health and well-being of children, youth, young adults, and families through:

  • Accessible health care services in the context of their families, cultures, and communities
  • Interdisciplinary health care education for health professional trainees and practitioners as well as children, youth, young adults, families, and communities
  • Research to increase understanding of factors affecting health and improve health outcomes for children, youth, young adults, and families
  • Engagement with children, youth, young adults, and families as advocates

The program is designed to serve Pittsburgh communities in which Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults experience factors that affect healthcare access, including low income, rural, urban, and food insecure groups.
